JARSE

A hypnotic bow to the pioneers of electronic music from a modern living room spiced with psychedelic guitar riffs. Jarse is the new project of Jari Suominen, best known for his work in the analog instrumental quartet Shogun Kunitoki, and psychedelic folk group Kiila. Jari builds his own instruments and in Jarse he uses a brand new self built synthesizer, which is based on the original design and schematics of the Sähkökvartetti, which was used by the first electronic band in Finland (founded 1968), led by M.A. Numminen (by the way the orginal Sähkökvartetti was used on the first track of the most recent Shogun Kunitoki album, Vinonaamakasio).

Jarse has recently released his first 7 inch vinyl Alas and is recording his first full lenght to be released on Fonal Records in 2012.
