Vinyl can sound more musical than digital but only if it's pressed properly, otherwise the distortion is just a distraction.Fonal records a brilliantly cut I think and compete with the 180g pressings out there, but records still need to be maintained (dust!)
I prefer CD because it's uncompressed PCM and you get artwork with it, Fonal artwork being important because it comes in great packaging and seeing a bunch of fonal record spines lined up in a CD rack looks like an series of important historical documents!
FLAC downloads are great, the problem with MP3s is that you end up with one resolution - you dont have a master to make say a high quality 320kbps version for the home and a 192kbps version for the mp3 player.
As for the artwork I would happily go ALL DOWNLOAD if the was say a "Book Of Fonal Art" available annually
