Fonal Records is a Finnish independent record label established by Sami Sänpäkkilä in 1995. There has been releases so far varying from ambient, experimental, naive pop to semi-acoustic psychedelic folk. We are currently based in Tampere, Finland.

Most of the site is designed by Sami Sänpäkkilä. Fonal Jukebox is coded and designed by Jarno Varjonen. Jan Anderzen has contributed graphics and ideas! SS-PALACE STUDIO

The recording facility where many of the Fonal releases have been recorded, mixed and mastered. A very creative studio atmosphere where you can record anything from demos to full lenght albums. Digital 16-track simultaneous recording or 8-track 1/4 inch reel-to-reel tape recorder with unlimited tracks for overdubs. Lo-Fi spirit engineering with results as-lo-or-hi-u-wish. Customers include amongst others Kemialliset ystävät, Kuusumun Profeetta, Alien Heat, Kiila, Office Building, Ville Leinonen, Islaja, Maguar Posse, Helmi-levyt, Risto and many others.

You can however send links to sites or mp3's but we very rarely check them out. Unfortunately we don't have time to answers inquires or comment on the music.
